Detoxification

In our every day life we encounter a variety of toxins that adversely affect our bodies, from the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink and bathe in and the electrical energy of the environment in which we live and work. All of these factors contribute to our bodies’ state of well being. As part of our usual body functionality we naturally detoxify every day, eliminating toxins and waste via our kidneys, liver, colon, lymph glands, lungs and skin. We need our bodies to function optimally and rid our systems of these toxins. These toxins are harmful waste products which attack our immune system and can cause a wide variety of side effects.

Our bodies are very complex pieces of engineering but in their simplest forms are collections of cells and tissue. Cells consist of electrical charges and ideally contain an even proportion of positive and negative ions. In an ‘ideal’ state we are perfectly balanced, and our bodies regulate themselves by removing toxins and absorbing nutrients from food, water and oxygen. Disorders and diseases of the body have vibration frequencies that are incompatible with the body’s healthy cells, disrupting the cells’ natural oscillation and polarity. This disruption creates imbalance and chaos within each affected cell. When cells are in an imbalanced state they are unable to facilitate the normal functions of the body necessary for healing, including ridding itself of heavy metals, parasites and other toxins; and the process of storing toxins begins. Footbath detoxification promotes overall balancing of the body cells.


The BODY CLEANSE Footbath Detox System

The BODY CLEANSE  is a detox water bath system that cleanses balances and enhances the bio-energy (the vital energy) force present in the body. This energy is the electro-magnetic force that is stored inside the body and is utilized by our cells. Chinese medicine refers to this energy as “Chi”, a complex energy field that permeates and realigns the body’s energy while improving the overall condition of the body. While the footbath is basically used to increase energy( both physical and mental energy), vitality and stamina, it also simultaneously purges ( detoxifies ) the body of toxins, chemicals, radiation, pollution, synthetics, and other foreign materials trapped in the tissues of the body that hinder the body’s self-cleansing mechanism. (The internal cleansing made possible by the footbath includes parasite cleansing and liver detoxification.) Results often include decreased body fluid retention, reduced inflammation, improved memory, greater bladder control, a more balanced pH, a stronger immune system as well as significant relief from headache, gout and arthritis pains.
How does the Body Cleanse work?   A small electrical current runs through the water creating a magnetic field which corresponds to the body. When the client’s feet are immersed in the footbath water the magnetic fields in both the body and the Body Cleanse footbath probe interact with one another to rebalance and energize the system. A series of timed positive and negative ions emitted by the probe invigorates, re-conditions and synchronizes the body's natural ionic flow,   stimulating the cells in the body to release toxins while increasing the cells’ ability to absorb nutrients and oxygen. The body can detox safely and at it's own pace during the 30-minute soak by mobilizing residues and waste stored within the body.

* Children under the age of 8 years of age

Spring Cleansing Fast

The Master Cleanser (MC) program consists of a ten-day (length of time can vary) liquid fast and detox using Stanley Burroughs’ special formula as presented by Elson Haas, M.D. consisting of:

  1. 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon or lime juice (organic)
  2. 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (organic)
  3. 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  4. 8 ounces of spring water

Drinking adequate amounts of liquid is important during this fast. Use the MC formula daily, drinking at least 8-10 glasses; and drink additional water or herb teas, especially peppermint or chamomile.

Keep the digestive tract clean and clear. Cleanse the bowels with laxative teas, enemas, colon irrigation or an internal saltwater bath. Some form of cleansing bowel movement should happen at least every other day after the initial clearing.

Internal saltwater bath:

  1. Drink one quart of warm water with two teaspoons of sea salt dissolved in it the first thing in the morning.
  2. Bowels should move several times within the next two-hour period.
  3. People who retain water easily or those with high blood pressure should use caution with this method.

Note: two important tips for using the MC program

  1. Don’t carry your Master Cleansing formula or juice in a plastic container because toxins may be leached from a plastic container into the drink from the acids in the lemon.
  2. Right after you drink the formula rinse your mouth with water to clear the lemon and maple syrup from your teeth. The sugars can be damaging, and the ascorbic and citric acids can pull calcium from tooth enamel.

Regular exercise is important for healthy cleansing and for general good health whether exercise is a yoga-type or a sweat-cleansing regime.


Autumn Cleansing Fast

Juicing for a week or two is recommended for this time of year. Fruit juices could be served in the morning with vegetable juices following in the evening. (Should the fruit juices become too sweet dilute them with water; add several glasses of the MC formula to the daily diet.) Since autumn is the season for grapes, eating or juicing grapes for a week is also an alternative. Another option is a repeat of the Master Cleanse formula. Remember to follow the notes and exercise tips listed above. Should you prefer a “chewable” fall detox the diet outlined below can be followed using these guidelines:

  1. Chew your food very well and take enough time when you eat.
  2. Relax a few minutes before and after your meal.
  3. Eat in a comfortable sitting position.
  4. Eat primarily steamed fresh vegetables and some fresh greens.
  5. Take only herbal teas after dinner.

Morning: (upon arising): Two glasses of water (filtered, spring, or reverse osmosis), one glass with half a lemon squeezed into it.

Breakfast: One piece of fresh fruit (at room temp), such as apple, pear, banana, grapes, or citrus. Chew well, mixing each bite with saliva.

15-30 minutes later: One bowl of cooked whole grains -- specifically millet, brown rice, amaranth, quinoa, raw buckwheat, or buckwheat. Flavoring can be two tablespoons of fruit juice for a sweeter breakfast taste, or use the "better butter" mixture mentioned below with a little salt or tamari for a deeper flavor.

Lunch: (Noon-1 P.M.) One-two medium bowls of steamed vegetables; use a variety, including roots, stems, and greens -- e.g. potatoes or yams, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beets, asparagus, kale, chard, and cabbage. Thoroughly chew your food.

Dinner: (5-6 P.M.) Same as Lunch

Seasoning: Butter/oil mixture. Make this "better butter" by mixing a half cup of cold-pressed oil (or olive or flaxseed oils) into a soft (room temperature) half-pound of butter; then place in dish and refrigerate. Use about one teaspoon per meal or a maximum of 3 teaspoons daily.

11 A.M. & 3 P.M: One-two cups veggie water, saved from steamed vegetables. Add a little sea salt or kelp and drink slowly, mixing each mouthful with saliva.

Evening: Herbal teas only -- e.g. peppermint, chamomile, pau d'arco, or blends.

NOTE: Any symptoms of weakness experienced during the first few days should disappear by day 3 or 4, if not before. Should you start to feel weak or hungry during this diet assess your water intake and elimination; if needed, a small portion of protein food (3-4 ounces of fish, free-range chicken or beans- lentils, garbanzo, mung or black beans) can be eaten in the mid-afternoon.
